Andi and Philmar get tattoos in Siargao, making headlines again. Their visit to Island Tattoo Piercing Studio comes after the matching tattoo controversy that sparked online discussions.
A video posted by Island Tattoo Piercing Studio showed the two getting inked, with Andi opting for a palm branch design. Philmar did not reveal what new tattoo he got, but his right arm remained covered throughout the session. Their kids, Lilo and Koa, were also seen in the shop, playing and eating while their parents got tattooed.
The couple’s visit comes just weeks after Andi’s cryptic Instagram posts hinted at a betrayal involving a matching tattoo. Although she later clarified that Philmar did not cheat, it was revealed that he got a “224” tattoo with Swedish photographer and athlete Pernilla Sjoo. The number stands for “Today, Tomorrow, Forever”, which many saw as a symbol of commitment.
Philmar Covers Tattoo Amid Public Scrutiny
Philmar had previously visited the same tattoo shop to get inked, adding portraits of his dogs on his right arm. During that session, he was seen covering the “224” tattoo with tissue, and in his latest visit, he kept his entire right arm hidden under a jacket.
These actions didn’t go unnoticed. Social media users speculated that Philmar might be distancing himself from the controversial tattoo or considering removing it altogether. However, neither he nor Andi addressed it directly.
Tension Lingers as Pernilla’s Photos Appear in Surf Club
Despite patching things up, signs of tension still linger. Pernilla Sjoo’s photos were recently spotted at Happy Islanders Surf Club, a surf shop and café owned by Philmar in Siargao.
A Philstar.com report detailed a visit to the café, where reporters expected to see Andi during her shift. Instead, they found Philmar alone, wearing a hoodie and looking visibly tired. When asked for a video interview, he politely declined, saying, “Marami pa kasing nangyayari” (A lot is still happening).
His solo breakfast and reserved demeanor raised more questions, especially since Pernilla’s photos decorated the café’s walls. While they were mostly scenic surfing shots, their presence added to the speculation surrounding the trio’s current dynamic.
Public Divided on the Issue
The “224” tattoo incident sparked heated discussions online. Some defended Philmar, saying it was a harmless friendship tattoo between two long-time friends. Actor Derek Ramsay, a friend of Pernilla, backed this claim, saying it had no romantic meaning.
Others, however, sided with Andi, believing that a matching tattoo with another woman – especially without consulting her – was inappropriate. Derek himself acknowledged that while Philmar and Pernilla made a mistake, Andi also erred by bringing the issue to social media instead of settling it privately.
Meanwhile, Siargao locals have stood by Philmar, emphasizing that he is not just a professional surfer but also a respected entrepreneur in the community. Some pointed out that while Andi comes from a well-known showbiz family, Philmar’s own background holds weight in Surigao, where his family has long been established.
What’s Next for Andi and Philmar?
The couple appears to be moving forward, but their every move remains under the public eye. While Andi and Philmar’s latest tattoo session suggests an attempt at normalcy, lingering questions about their relationship, Pernilla, and the controversial tattoo continue to fuel discussions.
For now, both seem focused on their family, business, and life in Siargao, where they have built a home away from the spotlight. Whether this chapter is fully closed, however, remains to be seen.
